City Pharmacy committed to providing premium healthcare

Hypertension is one of the leading conditions under the category of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) in Papua New Guinea and is largely influenced by lifestyle factors.

Today, the City Pharmacy Medical Clinic team visited PNG Power Limited (PPL), a member of its insurance partner – Niugini Assurance Group Limited (NAGL) and conducted health checks.
This initiative forms part of a broader strategic approach to preventive healthcare and is initiated through members of our insurance partners.

Our medical team, comprising an optometrist, a nurse, and a Clinical Governance & Business Development Manager; provided health screenings and awareness sessions. This covered hypertension, the importance of vaccination, and HPV screening for female employees and female family members of employees.

Over 75 employees were registered in the CP Medical Clinic database. Participants received blood pressure checks and free eye screenings.

Our team identified one serious case of high blood pressure and acted quickly by referring the employee to the medical clinic with a doctor immediately on standby and averted a potential stroke and or heart attack.

At City Pharmacy Medical Clinic, we are committed to providing premium healthcare that is accessible and affordable.
