CPL Group, through supermarket brand Stop & Shop, is pleased to launch a brand new promotion aimed at Schools in
Port Moresby. Sports for School is an initiative to reward shoppers, especially students, for shopping at our
Supermarkets, with much needed sports equipment to their schools.
The promotion was officially launched on Wednesday 3rd May at Stop & Shop Rainbow, by CPL Chief Operating Officer,
Phil Ager, Students from Waigani Primary School and Carr Memorial SDA Primary School among CPL Staff, media and
shoppers.
‘The promotion is all about giving back to schools, because we understand not many have sports equipment. If our
children play sports they stay healthy, and keep busy”, said Phil. “We now have the first two schools signed up, in Carr
Memorial SDA Primary and Waigani Primary, and so we hope you can have fun with it, and let your friends from other
schools know as well.”
“We’re very happy to be the first school participating, and look forward to receiving as many sports equipment as we
can after the promotion ends”, said the Headmaster of Waigani Primary School. “This is a really good promotion, and
much needed too for all schools so on behalf of my school and students, we will actively be participating”, a
representative for Carr Memorial SDA Primary School added.
The competition is open to all Elementary, Primary and Secondary schools in Port Moresby. To participate, schools must
register online via the link at www.cpl.com.pg/promotions. CPL will then visit the schools to deliver entry boxes and
posters to set-up. Students must keep receipts from their shopping at any Stop & Shop Supermarket during the
promotion period, and drop it in the entry bins provided at your school.
For every K10 spent, 1 point is earned. The more points a school gets, the more sports equipment they receive. There
are five different sports equipment to be won from the different sports of Basketball, Volleyball, Soccer, Netball and
