City Pharmacy Limited (CPL) has announced a new partnership with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), which will provide advisory support to advance the ongoing development and expansion of CPL’s healthcare network across Papua New Guinea.
The collaboration will support CPL’s strategic efforts to improve access to quality and affordable healthcare nationwide. Through its planned network expansion, CPL aims to enhance community-level healthcare delivery by integrating pharmacy, diagnostics, and primary care services across its facilities.
Under the engagement, IFC will work closely with CPL to offer technical guidance and global expertise in building resilient, efficient, and sustainable healthcare delivery models. The partnership will draw on IFC’s extensive work across emerging markets in strengthening private-sector healthcare infrastructure.
Incoming CPL CEO Ajay Patel said the partnership marks an important milestone for the company.
“As CPL continues to expand its healthcare footprint, the involvement of IFC will support the adoption of internationally recognized operational and governance standards while reinforcing the long-term sustainability of our network,” Mr. Patel said.
CPL believes the initiative represents a significant step forward in strengthening private-sector participation in healthcare delivery in Papua New Guinea and improving access to essential health services for communities across the country.
