CPL Group Donates New Born Kits To Port Moresby General Hospital

New born babies at Port Moresby General Hospital’s Maternity ward will be recipients of CPL Group’s new born kits.

This new born packs are courtesy of CPL Group’s pharmacy brand, City Pharmacy and philanthropic arm, CPL Foundation.

“Healthy children build healthy nations & this new born kit will begin that journey for healthy children” said Mr. Pradeep Panda, CPL Group’s General Manager for Pharmacy sales and merchandising.

Key feature about this kit is a 20 percent (%) discount coupon for mothers on selected baby products at any City Pharmacy outlet around the country, allowing mother and baby to have access to quality products.

This initiative is part of PNG’s leading retail pharmacy chain to promote healthier and better lives for new born PNG babies and their families. This project will be rolled out at Port Moresby General Hospital for now with future plans to expand to all provincial health authorities.

Pom Gen’s Chief Executive Officer Dr. Paki Molumi was present to receive the timely gifts.

Dr Molumi further stated that the hospital’s maternity ward sees around 60 births daily were a majority of mothers come from middle to low income families around the city and Central Province and initiatives such as this, allow mothers and families to afford basic necessities for their new born babies.
