CPL Group Announces Construction Of City Pharmacy Outlet For Kundiawa

CPL PARTNERS WITH SIMBU PROVINCIAL HEALTH AUTHORITY IN PUBLIC-PRIVATE PARTNERSHIP MOU

The more than 12,000 people living in Kundiawa, Simbu Province will now have access to a pharmacy outlet in May this year.

Mr Robert Nilkare, Chairman of the Simbu Provincial Health Authority (SiPHA) with representatives from the CPL Group, Mr Pradeep Panda (General Manager, Sales and Merchandise- City Pharmacy) and Mr Kevin Alo (General Manager, Group Strategic Marketing) at the ground breaking ceremony recently.

CPL Group in a public-private partnership with the Simbu Provincial Health Authority (SiPHA) has celebrated the launch for a proposed construction site and establishment of a City Pharmacy outlet.

“We had signed this agreement in 2021 and are pleased to announce this momentous occasion. We work with a cross-section of PNG society and so we understand the need for interconnected service delivery and development. We are making strides to improving our supply chain and also to be compliant to the PNG Government Health standards,” said Mr Pradeep Panda.

The proposed pharmacy will be the first ever pharmacy in Kundiawa and will relieve the Kundiawa General Hospital of basic medical services provided to the people.

“We have always had a close relationship with the CPL Group. They are a good people, and we like to work with good people. This will complement our service provision by the SiPHA and brings much need community investment through support and employment,” said Mr Robert Nilkare- outgoing Chairman of the SiPHA.

The pharmacy outlet comes after a successful sponsorship of the Mt Wilhelm Agricultural Show in early April.

The development will also come with a Bon Café serving some of Simbu’s specialty coffee.
