CPL Group and Kerema District Development Authority (KDDA) signs Memorandum of Understanding for New City Pharmacy Retail Outlet in Kerema, Gulf Province.

Waigani, Papua New Guinea – October 9th, 2024

In a significant step toward enhancing healthcare access in Kerema, Gulf Province, City Pharmacy Limited (CPL) Group and the Kerema District Development Authority (KDDA) is pleased to officially announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a new City Pharmacy retail outlet in Kerema Town, Gulf Province. The signing took place on August 22, 2024 at the CPL Head Office in Port Moresby.

The partnership is set to enhance access to pharmaceutical and essential health, beauty and family products for the Kerema community, providing a much-needed resource for healthcare and consumer goods in the region. KDDA will offer support to CPL in securing necessary permits and approvals, which will streamline the project’s implementation.

Present at the signing was Kerema Open MP, Hon. Thomas Opa and CPL Group Founder, Sir. Mahesh Patel, OBE, who both stressed the importance of healthcare access, and effective service delivery.

The signing of this MoU is a milestone for both parties, emphasizing their dedication to improving the quality of healthcare in the region. The establishment of a City Pharmacy in Kerema Town is expected to significantly benefit the local population by providing access to a wide range of pharmaceutical products and services.
