City Pharmacy Donates K10,000 To Pharmacists Conference

LEADING PHARMACY BRAND, CITY PHARMACY DONATES TO PHARMACIST BIENNIAL CONFERENCE

The Pharmaceutical Society of PNG (PSPNG), the professional NGO facilitating training and advancements in the field of Pharmaceutical Studies has received a K10,000 donation from City Pharmacy.

“We are proud to support quality health services and medical education. This relationship goes back for over a decade that we have been supporting professional pharmacists, and we are happy to support this biennial gathering of some of the best minds in medicine.

We currently run a scholarship for Pharmacy students at the School of Medicine at the University of Papua New Guinea in synergy with our vision statement of helping to make a healthier and better PNG, and initiatives such as this is part of the contribution of City Pharmacy to nation building,” said Mr Pradeep Panda- CPL Group’s Head of Pharmacy.

The leading pharmacy retailer became a platinum sponsor after the endowment. The society’s Biennial Science Conference will be held in Port Moresby from September 28- 30th, 2022.

The theme for the conference is ‘Emerging Public Health Treats – How can health workers and pharmacists respond to the challenges’.

The biennial conference is the only national programme that brings together pharmacists, pharmaceutical sales representatives, pharmaceutical managers, pharmacy technicians, and the pharmaceutical business houses and also other health sector professionals and NGOs to share in advancements in the therapy, treatment and science of medicines.
