RETAIL CHAIN SUPPORTS AROB SMEs
City Pharmacy Limited (CPL Group) in its initiative to support SMEs will stock Bougainville traditional baskets amongst other SME suppliers in time for Mother’s Day.
“One of CPL Group’s values is that we all win together, and during these tough economic times, big and small businesses need to work together and support each other,” said Navin Raju, CPL Group CEO.
The Bougainville baskets are sourced from village-based families who make the baskets out of cane from untouched forests in Central Bougainville.
The women’s baskets are called Haki and komorikah and the men’s are known as aruaru.
“We have supplied 500 baskets to CPL Group,” said Delwin Ketsin, president of the Central Bougainville women in SME’s.
The baskets will be sold with bouquets of flowers and a wide range of Mother’s Day gifts at all Stop & Shop stores in Port Moresby from Thursday 6 May, 2021.
